Price of oil

Price of oil

The price of oil is going up. Why? ok after all the talk of alternatives and conservation etc, this is a drop in the bucket. Do you see any windmills next to your house or do you drive a solar powered car? I am really in favor of this, but there is not way alternatives can will work as people do not take the serious enough to invest in. I myself own PCZ a Canadian oil company, rather than a Solar cell company, which I really think is great. Why? Because the world will need oil for at least the next 50 years. I live in Poland and we still burn coal here to heat our homes. Yes we put coal in a furnace to heat our homes. And even if parts of the world get high tech and modern other parts will not and oil will always be in demand, as developing countries will use older technologies. In fact more, as China and India continue to grow. Its simple supply and demand. Oil in Poland is twice that of the US. And I only see increasing demand. So I think people have been scared for the short time and may reduce some consumption, but they will adjust and continue to demand oil.

Bush Oil

Bush Oil

Bush wants to mine our national parks for oil. If you still think Iraq was about weapons of mass destruction you will just love Bushes new plan to mine national parks for oil. Look even if it buys the USA a few more years of oil its is all about Bush’s connection to the Texas oil companies. No question. Profits for his friends  and the price is we will destroy our national parks.  Also it will prevent or slow the USA from developing alternative energy first. The country that develops real energy alternatives will the the country that will lead the world in this century.  Bush and Bush policies are nothing about America and all about oil company profits. By the way, I am a republican and I own a large postion of stock in an oil company. But I am an American first. I think Bush oil policies have betrayed the American people’s long term future.

McCain and oil

McCain and oil

Presidential candidate McCain’s answer to the energy problems for the world is to drill for more oil and he said we will stay in Iraq for 100 years.  Bush said the solution was to build more refineries.  Bush and  McCain are not for America. I am a republican but these old world politics are not the way to make the USA a land of opportunity again.  This will maybe help us for the next 10 years at most, but then what? It will help the oil companies, it will help the status quo. But what about investing in other types of energy. And there are plenty of new technologies. If we spend as much money on new energy rather than drilling and war we would all not have to worry about the price of gas at the pump. I want to drive a car and not worry,  McCain is a 1960s leader in 2008.   I do not think America is the land of dreams anymore. Most people work very hard and the work place is dog eat dog and its because of old fashion thinking.  McCain’s oil policies will do nothing for the USA and the auto enthusiast.

Oil hits a new high cars are out

Oil’s new high - cars are out

I think the time of the car is over. There is no way, that everyone in the world can continue to drive freely like in the past 30 years. My analysis of world oil supplies is 25 years, however, that is more an absolute level. Demand is increasing not just because of cars but because of industry. Industry and modernization of the rest of the 5 billion people living outside of Europe and America. If we have 25 absolute years for oil we have about 5 years before oil gets to such high level that our disposable income can not afford using a car except for absolute necessity.

You will not drive much in the future

You will not drive much in the future

The world is running out of oil and as a result you will not drive as much in the future. I am an American that lives in Poland and I have not had a car in 10 years, well I had a car in Poland for a few weeks but it cost too much. Gas prices are out of control. In Poland more than the USA, but in the USA it will be 15 dollars a gallon. And at 15 dollars a gallon, remember you read it hear, you will not drive. It is supply and demand. The demand is so high supply production can not keep up. Further the total supply is running low. We will not run out of oil in 10 years, but the law of supply and demand will push prices up to where they should 15 dollars a gallon. In Poland prices of gas are about 10 dollars a gallon. And I do not drive. I take a train or walk. With trains everywhere in Poland why would I need to drive. This will be the future of the USA. We fought two wars in Iraq to get oil and it make no difference. American will have to drive less.
